Meet the Team

After years leading recruiting inside fast-growing tech companies, founder Sarah Greenwell noticed the same pattern repeating itself: startups kept hiring from the same small networks, and leadership teams rarely reflected the customers and employees they served.

In 2019, Sarah founded Her Move to help change that. Today, as Growth Mode Talent Partners, that mission has evolved into a broader commitment to diverse, high-impact hiring. We know from experience that leaders who bring perspectives not already in the room build stronger products, stronger teams, and stronger companies.

Over time, Sarah built a team that shares that same philosophy: thoughtful, human-centered hiring rooted in real operational experience. We’ve all spent years on the hiring side of the table inside fast-growing tech companies. We’ve built teams, led recruiting, and felt the pressure of every open seat ourselves.

That experience shapes how we advise hiring managers, how we evaluate candidates, and why we’ve never made a mediocre hire just to close a search.

Sarah Greenwell, MA, CDR

Founder + Executive Talent Partner
  • FOUNDER + EXECUTIVE TALENT PARTNER

Sarah has spent two decades in talent acquisition, including 14 years leading recruiting strategy inside tech companies like Bullhorn and Redbox, and iconic brands like Saks Fifth Avenue and The Hartford.

In 2019 she founded Her Move, which evolved into Growth Mode Talent Partners in 2023. Both firms were built around a commitment to stronger, more diverse leadership teams.

Today, Sarah leads Growth Mode’s executive searches personally, advising clients on role scope, market alignment, and candidate motivation. Clients come to her when getting the hire exactly right is non-negotiable.

She holds a Master’s degree in Leadership, is a Certified Diversity Recruiter, and is also a named inventor on a U.S. patent (unrelated to recruiting, but still a fun humble brag).

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys yoga, live music, themed 5Ks, and spending time with her husband Matt, their three kids, and dog Wrigley. She’s also reportedly uncomfortable writing in the third person.

Shelley has spent more than 15 years in recruiting and HR, placing talent across software and IT, product management, sales and marketing, and consulting. She understands the demand on organizations to build diverse, talented teams, and she's equally focused on helping people make meaningful career moves.

At Growth Mode, Shelley partners with engineering, product, and ops leaders on technical hiring at every level of the organization.

Outside of work, Shelley has recently become surprisingly enthusiastic about lifting weights — a bit unexpected considering her interests usually lean toward books, yoga, and long walks. She also loves exploring local and state parks with her husband, two kids, and their dog.
